Both the Sóller train and streetcar will resume their services during the month of February after the temporary closure in December.
From January 8, 2024 the Sóller tramway will remain closed until January 21, 2024, both included. From that day on, services from Sóller station to the port of Sóller and vice versa will be resumed as normal.
Also, the Sóller train will remain in technical stop from next December 11 until February 5, 2024, also both included. From that day on, the routes from Sóller to Palma and vice versa will continue as normal.
During the closure of the tram and train services, the time will be used to improve the conservation of the historical heritage and the services offered. As these are century-old facilities, they require maintenance work to repair the tracks and convoys so that they continue to perform their function.
This approach will not only ensure operational continuity once services are resumed, but will also contribute to preserving the authenticity and historical importance of these emblematic facilities in Sóller. The temporary interruption is therefore conceived as an investment in the long-term sustainability of these historic means of transport.
