The Habaneras are back for another year offering an exceptional recital of music. This event is one of the most outstanding in the town and will take place on the beach d'en Repic on the 22nd and 23rd of September, from 20:00 to 24:00 hours.
To celebrate the eleventh anniversary of the Habaneras, outstanding artists from the Mediterranean coast have been brought in.
On September 22nd the fantastic mallorcan groups Estol de Tramuntana and Embat will play for the first time, followed by the exceptional group Mar i Vent, who will also perform on the 23rd.
While on September 23rd at the same venue the already popular mallorcan groups Coral Pro Music Chorus, the traditional Aires Sollerics and the established group Gent des Plà will perform seafaring songs in a free event that promises to be absorbing and captivating for the whole family to enjoy in chairs on the sandy beach or on the terraces of nearby bars and restaurants.
Not to be left out is the fact that before the concert on dry land, there will be an exhibition of habaneras in a boat in the bay of Port de Sóller, scheduled to take place from 18:00 to 20:00. Meanwhile, the Xeremiers de Sóller will accompany the trams that will take spectators to the Port.
And, of course, the audience will have the opportunity to taste the iconic burnt rum.
The concert in the port is presented completely free of charge, and to simplify travel for those attending, means of transport from Palma to Sóller have been made available for the duration of the celebrations. To get to the port from Palma, a combined train+tram ticket has been made available for 6 euros, with the train leaving Palma at 18:30 and the tram from Sóller at 19:30. The return to Palma will be by bus at 24:00, also at a cost of 6 euros. Tickets are on sale at the Tren de Sóller ticket office in Palma, open from 8:30 am to 2:15 pm.
The habaneras in Sóller promise to be an incomparable and exceptional show, which will be presented by Mar Puigserver and will feature the collaboration of Antònia Munar Esquerdo and Tomeu Penya, who is returning for the ninth year. Access the programme of the eleventh edition of the Habaneras.
