The Spring Fair in Mallorca is called the Feria de la Naranja (Orange Fair) and is held in Soller.
After being suspended for two years due to the pandemic, the now traditional Feria de la Naranja (Orange Fair) returns with the gastronomic days starting on 18th March and the main events on the weekend of 2nd and 3rd April.
Year after year the region of Sóller, known as the Valley of Oranges, shows off the quality of its citrus products and the quality of its restaurants with the Orange Fair.
The well-known fair begins with the gastronomic days, which are based on the theme of citrus fruits. From Friday the 8th of March 23 restaurants in Sóller, Puerto de Sóller and Fornalutx will be offering dishes and menus with oranges as the star ingredient.
Airecel, Balear, Barretes, Campo Sol, Ca'n Benet, Gran Hotel Sóller, Ca'n Boqueta, Ca'n Gata, Ca'n Karlito, Ca'n Nadal, Ca'n Pintxo, Ciales, Davant la mar, Do de pit, Don Pedro, El guía, Es Canyis, Hotel Marina, La Vila, Nautilus, Noname, sa Figuera and Suculenta.
In the special menus for the occasion, visitors will be able to find such suggestive dishes as the Toast of beef sirloin with orange, thyme and black pepper jam; the Skate in orange crust with Parisian peas and orange sauce; the Candied suckling pig with orange on citrus-flavoured polenta and steamed vegetables; or the Almond sponge cake, orange cream and saffron.
The main market and fair events will take place between Saturday 2 April and Sunday 3 April, with a wide range of activities: workshops, showcooking, specialised and craft markets, competitions and guided tours.
One of the main attractions will undoubtedly be the challenge of beating the Guinness World Record for the amount of orange juice squeezed by hand, for which we will be counting on collaborators and volunteers who want to take part in the feat.
